Wooden Tops:

Tops have been around for thousands of years. Archaeologists have found tops made from wood, bone, and ceramics that were used by ancient cultures all over the world. Throughout history, tops have been used in organized sport activities, as professional entertainment props, and as spiritual objects. Most commonly though, children have enjoyed tops as fascinating toys. Tops were especially popular toys in early America, possibly because they were inexpensive to produce.
