Wooden Sled:

Wooden sleds were popular in the United States as early as the 1700s. This 19th-century (1800s) model has a wooden base and runners. Later, wooden sleds had metal runners. More recently, plastic sleds have become more popular than the wooden type.

This wooden sled was made between 1860 and 1880.
