Winning Entry From Maggie O.

Maggie O., a second-grader at Trecca Digital Academy, sent us this drawing of Sheridan Cove.

Maggie says, "This is a picture of Sheridan Cove in western Wyandot County, where paleoindian artifacts have been found. The picture shows a paleoindian family. The dad just finished bringing a bear home, and the ids are watching while the mom cooks over a fire. The paleoindians lived here in Wyandot County about 13,000 years ago."

She continues with, "Today, there are folunteers who excavate inside the cave and take it up above to ash the dirt and look for little pieces of Indian stuff: bones, flint, anything that's not dirt or rock. Sheridan is cheduled to be featured on a Discovery Channel special in August."
