Here are the rules for entering the History As You Please contest.

Create!

A picture, poem or paragraph about Ohio's past in archaeology, history, or natural history or about any of the Historical Society's sites.

When:

Entries must be received by the first day of the month before it would be shown. That means, we need to get your stuff on May 1st to be chosen for the web page in June.

How:

Put it in an envelope, and don't forget to include this information:

  • Your first and last name
  • Your grade
  • Your school's name
  • A short description (if it's a picture)

The Scoop:

If we select your entry, it will be featured on the Kid's Page for the entire month. Your entry will then be archived so that it can be accessed in the future.
