| The Shawnee did funny dances. The Shawnee dances lasted for days and hours. The Shawnee wear funny
clothes during their dances. The Shawnees feasted on roast game and corn bread. The Shawnee women
play the men in a ball game before the dances. The green corn dances took place in August at the
first corn harvest. The Shawnee held a number of ceremonial dances each year. The bread dances were
among the most important of these.
